Almost 2 minutes faster!

I shaved almost 2 minutes of last week’s 5k time.   I’m really starting to believe that I can be under 30:00 by the race on June 7th.  I can’t let myself grow accustomed to this kind of progress!

Longest Run Ever

Super slow, but it felt great to go 5 miles without stopping or walking.  I never imagined myself able to do anything like that.  Runnng at night was also really nice, but my husband says that he worries about me, so I might try to keep my runs to the daylight hours.

Training for 5k

I am planning on running a 5k on June 7th.  Since if I go slowly enough, I can run that distance without walking, I am now going to start working on my speed.  I am still at he point that I can do a little bit better every time I run, so I am hoping to shave off 30 seconds or so every time I run.  If I run about 4 times a week between now and then, I can come in under 29:00, which seems a little to ambitious to me, but all I can do it try.
